General Terms

By submitting payment you confirm that you have carefully reviewed and approved all specifications, finishes, and relevant product details. Full payment is required at the time of order placement unless otherwise noted or agreed upon. In-stock pieces typically ship within 1 week.

Prices are valid for 60 days from the date quoted and may be subject to change thereafter.

Lead Times

Our quoted lead times are estimates only; we try our best to take into account all factors when providing these timelines but cannot account for every possible outcome.  Lead times begin upon receipt of payment and confirmation of final order details.

Please note: Shipping and transit times are not included in production lead time estimates.

Handmade Nature of Our Work

All pieces from Danny Kaplan Studio are individually handmade by skilled artisans using natural materials and traditional methods. As such, slight variations in size, glaze, color, texture, and form are inherent to the process and celebrated as part of the uniqueness of each piece. These variations are not considered defects and are a hallmark of studio-made ceramics.

Please note we do not accept returns based on natural variation in materials or craftsmanship.  If you are not happy with your purchase for other reasons, please let us know why. We stand behind all our products and will work with you to determine the best solution.

Shipping & Delivery

Please fully inspect all shipments upon receipt. If an item arrives damaged, you must notify us at orders@dannykaplanstudio.com within 48 hours of delivery with description of the damage and clear photographs of the item and its packaging.

Failure to report damages within this timeframe will be considered acceptance of the goods "as is," and no claims can be made thereafter.

To help ensure a swift resolution, please document damages thoroughly and save all original packaging and contents for inspection.

Danny Kaplan Studio is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

Warranty

Our work is crafted with care and attention to detail and guaranteed for 12 months against manufacturing defects only. This warranty does not cover: Damage due to misuse or mishandling, installation-related breakage, natural wear and tear (e.g., chipping, staining), damage from harsh cleaning agents or improper care, exposure to weather or non-residential environments and custom modifications or alterations made after delivery.

Any modifications made to our products will void their warranty, certifications, and return eligibility.

Storage Fees

If you are unable to receive your order once it is ready to ship, Danny Kaplan Studio will hold your pieces for up to 10 days at no charge. After this grace period, a storage fee of $10 per item per day will be incurred.

Orders not authorized for release within 30 days will be transferred to offsite storage, and additional storage and redelivery charges will apply. All storage fees must be paid before your order is released for shipment.

Return Policy

Due to the custom and handmade nature of our work, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges. Please review your order thoroughly before submitting, including measurements, specifications, and finishes.

International Orders

International orders outside the US: Each country has its own percentage rate for taxes and duties, and customers are responsible for tariffs when orders arrive in the destination country.

Tax

We are required to collect sales tax on orders shipped to New York.  Taxes will be calculated and shown at checkout. If you are eligible for tax exemption in this state, you will need to provide a valid reseller certificate.
